The Band

KALINGA, is one of India's premier bands & probably, we can say the only band in the country today that plays at corporate events, college campuses, hotels & clubs with flair & ease.

The musicians in the band are amongst the most experienced & versatile in the country today & having played with prime bands more than a decade.

The repertoire  that the band possesses  is huge & caters to a wide range of ages & musical tastes. Because of their extensive repertoire they can entertain noisy energetic teens, head banging college kids, smooth sophisticated audiences, chill out resort guests.... the list is endless.....

The band have composed & released their music albums & three video albums to their credit. ie, in 3 different languages, English, Hindi & Malayalam. Perhaps the only band to do this.......

Manu - Drums & Percussions, Backing Vocals
The Heart  beat of the band. the founder member & manager, Former member of internationally acclaimed band 13AD.Having been performing abroad & also jamming with some foreign  groups. A versatile drummer who can play different styles of music with a unique feel & can also mix the Indian beats as well as western & also the first drummer in Kerala to introduce v drums (Electronic sounding).Have taken two post graduations: one in journalism & mass communication & also in human resource management. Also   an  entertainment   Coordinator/Artist manager & media person.

Sylvin louis - Lead Vocals, Guitars
A  rock singer, with a powerful voice, also  plays the guitar. He is also well known for his showmanship, the essence of any show band. One of the rare singer in the country who can sing songs in languages like english,  malayalam, tamil , hindi, spanish, etc
Nazii -   A north Indian singer settled in Kerala, a very good performer & his interactions with the crowd is unique  & sings wide variety of bollywood  songs from old to new. He is also a playback singer.

Joby- Lead & Rhythm Guitars, Backing Vocals
A versatile  Guitar player with a different feel. He's also a Guitar instructor, and  also a studio sessions artist plays eastern as well as western.
Rajesh - Bass Guitar, Vocals
A gifted bass guitarist who adds meat to the music they play. He is also a very good  western singer with extraordinary control over his voice.
Williams - Pianos, Keyboards, Vocals. Add to the India fare as he is also into Hindustani Music.

Additional Singers  – Varsha (female play back singer) ,Bhagyaraj( Malayalam / Tamil /singer  & reality show winner)
The band have performed live shows  at the Taj Hotels, Mahindra resorts, Crown Plaza, Zuri resorts, Ramada hotels, Le Meridian, KGA Bangalore, Indian Navy, Kumarakom Lake Resort, Holiday Inn,  Radisson group, Leela Kempinski,  etc  for different Clients  and  for many leading Corporates  all over the country & abroad.
They have been influenced by music bands like Boney M, Beetles, Elvis Presly, Santana, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Doors, Bob Marley, Guns & Roses, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Queen, Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones etc.. which can be seen from the songs they perform on stage.
